It was such a stark contrast from the lively town I had expected. The flat light, snowed in paths and empty streets showed me that life is far more out of my control. I was left with the interesting challenge of noticing things that were already there. I came home with the realization that winter undresses everything. It exposes the tree underneath, the tools behind it all and the people who carry on. |

In the Depths of Winter
In the middle of winter, I wandered around Colonial Williamsburg in search of perhaps some inspiration. This inspiration (or lack thereof) led me to quiet corners and solitary things.
