One of the beautiful things about having people visit is the chance to go back to old places and rediscover familiar places with new eyes. New York City.

I have always been fascinated by festivals all over the world. One frequently televised is the La Tomatina held in Spain. It is the world’s biggest food fight with tomatoes held every year. I was very glad to discover that certain areas in the US are reenacting this famous festival. Proceeds of this year’s DC tomato bash went to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
